GMC Landscapes Wins Gold at the 2024 NW Flower & Garden Festival
A behind-the-scenes look at the award-winning display garden that celebrated Pacific Northwest stone, native planting and the art of outdoor living.

Every winter, the NW Flower & Garden Festival brings together the region's best designers, builders and plant lovers under one roof. This year GMC Landscapes returned to the show with a display garden built around a single idea: the landscape should feel like an extension of the home.
Designing the garden
We started with a series of outdoor rooms framed by natural stone walls and a cedar pergola. The planting palette mixed evergreen structure with seasonal color, and a small water feature provided the soft sound that makes a space feel finished.
What the judges saw
The jury awarded us a Gold Medal and recognized our use of natural stone, presented by Marenakos. For our team, the award is confirmation that craftsmanship and thoughtful design still matter.
If you are planning a new landscape or hardscape project in the Seattle area, we would love to bring the same attention to your property.
